A Sub-Inspector (SI) in Amritsar went viral for carrying out his duties and dealing with public complaints in a police station while wearing a vest. According to information received, the incident is from a police station of Rambagh division. The SI was dealing with people in the police station of Amritsar by wearing a vest instead of a uniform. When the video of SI's conversation went viral, the police swung into action. The Sub-Inspector, identified as Swaran Singh was suspended by Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar.
In the video, Sub Inspector Swaran Singh's hair was disheveled and his belt was lying on one side. While talking to the complainant, he was eating something, the food container was also lying in front of him. Meanwhile, he picked up the glass and put it on the other side. Someone made a video of the said sub inspector which subsequently viral.
After the video went viral, the police immediately swung into action. ADCP Navjot Singh said that after the video went viral, the police took action and suspended Sub Inspector Swaran Singh. Dealing with people wearing makeup is reprehensible. Departmental action will be taken against the sub inspector.
