Chaos and tension prevailed in Punjab's Amritsar after Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh’s supporters attacked the concerned Ajnala police station on Thursday. Pro-Khalistan leader and Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh had announced protest outside Ajnala Police station after the arrest of his close aid Lovepreet Singh Toofan. A few days back Ajnala Police arrested two members of his group members namely Lovepreet Singh Toofan and Sandhu from their home over the kidnapping case. A case was also registered against Amritpal and his members for kidnapping and assaulting a person. However, Amritpal Singh, later announced a 'peaceful protest' against the arrest of his close aides, however, it turned out to be a violent one. Armed with swords, lathis and guns Amritpal Singh's supporters attacked police, broke barricades and barged into Ajnala police station. Stones were also pelted.

Now, a video has emerged out in which Amritpal Singh can be seen addressing his supporters and asking them to keep the situation calm. In the video, Amritpal can be seen asking his supporters to not indulge in violent activities. However, the ground report tells a different story altogether. Amritpal asked his followers not to attack Police personnel and keep the protest peaceful. However, the Waris Punjab De Chief can also be heard saying that if the Police take any action then they will also see how they will respond.

As of now, there are total of 6 Police personnel have been injured in the violent clash between the Police and Amritpal Singh supporters. Doctor of Civil hospital Ajnala told True Scoop that there are 6 Police personnel have come for treatment (as of now) and an SP has been referred to Amritsar as his condition was not well.
