An Indo-Canadian gangster named Karanveer Singh Garcha was fatally shot in Coquitlam, Canada, on July 6, 2023. The 25-year-old Punjabi gangster, Karanveer Singh Garcha, was attacked by unknown assailants and succumbed to his injuries. According to the Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) quoted by Canadian media, Karanveer Singh Garcha was allegedly involved in gang-related activities. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) received a report of the shooting incident at approximately 9:20 pm on Sunday in Coquitlam. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered Garcha severely wounded.

The RCMP promptly transported Karanveer Singh Garcha to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The police investigation revealed that Garcha had been inside a condominium complex shortly before the fatal shooting.

IHIT's Timothy Pierotti was quoted saying that they are seeking information about an individual who had been in contact with Garcha in the days leading up to the incident. This person had dropped Garcha off at the condo complex, accompanied by a driver. In December 2021, the Surrey RCMP issued a safety advisory concerning Garcha and another individual, 22-year-old Harkirat Jhutti, both of Indo-Canadian descent, allegedly involved in criminal gang activities. The Surrey RCMP released a press statement at that time, along with their photographs, warning the public about the individuals' criminal involvement and propensity for violence. The RCMP emphasized that anyone's life could be at risk due to their activities.
