Angelina Jolie has slowly shifted her concentration from acting to direction since 2016. It was after that in September 2016 that Angelina and her husband Brad Pitt decided to go their separate ways. From the love drama ‘by the sea’ in which Jolie and Pitt were reunited onscreen to ‘first they killed my father’ Angelina was figuring out her niche as a filmmaker. But, it has been long since then that Jolie has taken a break from direction and invested her time more in acting.
Angelina recently revealed the reason for the same in an interview with an entertainment weekly where she was present for the promotion of her upcoming movie ‘those who wish me dead’ Jolie said, “ I love directing but I had a change in my family situation that’s not made it possible for me to direct for a few years”. She added that she needs to “do shorter jobs and be home more” for the sake of her children; Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. It seems that her divorce trials are “really the truth” behind her decision of leaving direction.

A week
ago there were reports that new court documents were filed by Angelina and her
children with ex-husband Brad were willingly offering “proof and authority in
support” of domestic violence against Pitt. Based on the reports of US weekly
Jolie-Pitt’s eldest son Maddox has given a testimony in the custody dispute
which didn’t seem to be in favor of the 57-year-old actor.
