In a heartbreaking development, reality TV star Mama June's eldest daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell died at the age of 29. Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell's death was confirmed by her mother on social media. Notably, Mama June whose real name is June Shannon informed that Anna died on Saturday. Following that, condolences started to pour in on social media with fans wishing Mama June to stay strong in tough times. What happened to Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell?

 

Mama June took to her official Instagram handle and shared a family photo. In the caption, June wrote, "With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us. She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM. She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her like she won’t and we will be updating y’all with more information as we get it today. We love y’all and continued prayers and thoughts for our family doing this difficult time."

 

Now, coming to Anna Cardwell's cause of death, Shannon in her interviews in a US media portal was quoted saying that her eldest daughter had stage 4 cancer and had received an adrenal carcinoma diagnosis in January 2023. Not only this, but just a day before Cardwell’s death, Shannon also posted on Instagram asking for prayers as 'some things have changed in our life over the last few weeks that are totally out of our control.'

 

It is pertinent to mention here that Anna Cardwell appeared on TLC's famous show- Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which ran from 2012 to 2014. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was a spinoff series, which followed Shannon’s family after she and her daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson rose to prominence in Toddlers & Tiaras, was cancelled amid reports that Shannon was dating a convicted child molester.
