Applications have been invited again under the rehabilitation scheme as per the orders of the Mann Government for the people displaced due to illegal encroachments removed last year in Latifpura, Jalandhar. As per the scheme applicant is free to choose any one, flat or plot, as per their choice.
Chairman of Jalandhar Improvement Trust, Jagtar Singh Sanghera while giving information on Wednesday said that according to the order of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the date of submission of applications under the revised rehabilitation scheme of Mohalla Latifpura has been extended by another 15 days. He said that to make this rehabilitation scheme more beneficial, on the instructions of Chief Minister Mann, the beneficiaries are also being given the freedom to choose either a flat in Bibi Bhani Complex or a plot in Surya Enclave Extension.
To avail the benefit of this scheme, the applicant should submit the application letter along with electricity/water bill, ration card or Aadhaar card as proof of residence at Mohalla Latifpura within 15 days at Jalandhar Improvement Trust office or Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar office. In the same request letter, they also have to state that they want to get a flat in Bibi Bhani Complex or a 50 square yard plot in Surya Enclave Extension.
Jagtar Sanghera said that the Mann Government is sincere about the resettlement of Latifpura residents, and this process of resettlement will be completely transparent.
