She had succeeded climbingMount Everest, Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Elbrus, Cartesens Pyramid, VinsonMassif, Mount Aconcagua and Mount Denali. All these peaks are in 7 differentcontinents, according to the report.

Kumar started to climbmountains at the age of 39. She saw snow draped mountains first time in herlife in 2002. She says that at that time she was training for AdministrativeServices in Mussoorie. After that she had made up her mind that she would climbmountains. However, it took him 11 years to make the first move to fulfill hisdream. She took the course of the Mountaineer Foundation in 2013. At that time,she was 39 years old.

After completing thecourse in 2013, Kumar climbed Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro(19,340 ft) for the first time in 2014. In the same year, she conquered thehighest mountain of Australia and Oceania, Carstens Pyramid (16,024 feet).

Kumar climbed the peakof Argentina's tallest Mount Aconcagua (22,840 ft) in 2015. She also managed toclimb Mount Elbrus (18,510 ft), the highest peak of Russia's Caucasian range inthe same year. She climbed Antarctica's highest peak Vinson Massif (16,050 ft)in 2016. She also climbed world's highest peak, the Mount Everest of Nepal. Shemanaged to reach a height of 23 thousand feet here.

Kumar hoisted thetricolor on Mount Manasalu, the eighth highest peak in Nepal in 2017. Aparna isthe first Indian officer to reach the South Pole. In 2019, she reached theSouth Pole in minus 40 degree temperature. In 2019 itself, she made a record ofclimbing 7 summits by climbing America's Mount Denali, the moutain in Alaska.
