During the show, Karan Johar openly asked the Ek Villain Returns actor to address the 'big elephant' in the room i.e. about Arjun Kapoor Malaika Arora wedding. On that Arjun Kapoor clearly said that he is not planning to get married to Malaika Arora despite the fact that both of them are dating for the past 2 years.
On the topic of Arjun Kapoor Malaika Arora marriage, the Ek Villain Returns actor said, "No. And honestly, because it's been two years of this lockdown and Covid and whatever was transpiring. I wanted to focus on my career."
"I'm a very realistic person Karan, it's not like I need to hide anything. I'm not sitting here and being coy. I really would like to be professionally a little more stable. I'm not talking about financially, I'm talking about emotionally. I would like to do work that makes me happy. Because if I'm happy, I can make my partner happy, I can live a happy life. I feel a lot of my happiness comes from my work," he added.
Interestingly, Arjun Kapoor also broke his silence on why he took so much time before making his relationship with Malaika Arora public. Arjun stated that both he and Malaika wanted to be sensitive on their immediate families including the 'Chaiya Chaiya' girl's ex-family. It is pertinent to mention here that Malaika Arora was wife of Salman Khan's younger brother Arbaaz Khan before their marriage fell apart. In fact, Malaika Arora's ex husband Arbaaz is currently dating model Giorgia Andriani.
