An Army Agniveer recruitment rally will be held at Sikh L1 Football ground near Police station-7 Urban Estate, Phase-I from Dec 12 to 20.
A spokesperson said that male candidates of Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, and SBS Nagar would participate in the recruitment rally from Dec 12 to 18, and female candidates on Dec 19 to 20. He said that the female candidates belonging to Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh (UTs) would appear from Dec 19 to 20 at the same venue.
Meanwhile, the district administration has also fixed the duties of various departments to make adequate arrangements for the recruitment rally. The Police Department has been told to make foolproof security and traffic measures to avoid any kind of chaos on the recruitment day.
Further, the fire department has been asked to station fire tenders and the health department has been told to depute medical teams at the venue.
