Republic TV Managing director and Editor in Chief Arnab Goswami was released from the Taloja Central Jail in Raigad late on Wednesday night.

The development came hours after the Supreme Court granted him bail following his arrest on November 4 in a case of abetment to suicide of Mumbai architect Anvay M. Naik and his mother Kumud Naik on May 5, 2018, in Alibaug.

As expected the Republic TV Chief yet again lashed out at Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Arnab in his speech clearly stated that he will not change his way of journalism. Arnab revealed that from the past three days the Mumbai Police was continuously doing his interrogation even inside the jail.

The journalist slammed the state government and asked why are they obsessed with the Republic network. He addressed Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and said that if at all he would have spent those lakhs of money for the development and the people of Maharashtra, everyone would have admired him.

Arnab also responded to the arrest of Republic TV’s distribution head Ghanshyam Singh in alleged TRP scam case. He said, "I would like to tell you Mr. Thackeray that yesterday inside Taloja jail, even the inmates were shocked at the arrest of Ghanshyam. He was taken around 7 am in the morning from his house like a terrorist. Shame on you Uddhav Thackeray for doing that. We are not terrorists, you are the one who thinks who can use and misuse the law. The courts are watching you but the courts of public opinion are also watching you. You have no right to use illegal methods against our organization anymore."
