New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday directed that two unruly Members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) be taken out of the House as they were creating uproar and had trooped into the Well.
During the ruckus between the Treasury bench and the Opposition, Congress and Trinamool Congress Members sat in the well and the two PDP members Nazir Ahmad Laway and Mir Mohammad Fayaz tried to 'tear the copy' of the Constitution. The members were protesting statutory resolution moved by Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir.
This move angered the Chairman and he named both the PDP Members and asked the security staff to marshal them out. The security staff swung into action and took them out of the House.
Condemning the action of two Members, the Chairman gave the stern warning to the Members that such actions will not be allowed in the House.
The Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad also condemned the action of the PDP members.
