Art journey of Amit Zurff

Amit's journey as an artist started with his father's thought of making him as an artist who peels off the beauty of nature on the white canvas. His father Mr Inderjit Singh bought him an art book of a graceful naked woman which inspired his thoughts as a creator. His father skilled him in a vision and a strong sense to explore the creation of an artist behind those bare skins, live humans, and things around.

He decided of being an artist but lack of knowledge in art materials and colors gave him a real hard time. Ms.Geeta inspired him as an artist because she acted as a savior in his life. She nourished the artist in young Amit. She taught Amit the ways of using colors in the restricted arena of the art piece and explained him how he can explore more in the field.

Amit's next biggest inspiration was Artist John Fernandes who praised him as an artist.

A Comfort zone can never lead to success but the thought of earning a livelihood made Amit responsible. Struggling to accommodate space in the outer world, earning food, marriage, and other entanglements taught him a lot in life. In all this process, his friend Sukhwant Singh supported him.

Amit worked as a freelancer and commissioned artist. He was also the director of Easelz’ Academy of Fine Arts since 2005. Amit was skilled in Drawing, Sketching, Painting, Human Anatomy & Portrait Study, Fashion illustration & rendering, Calligraphy & Typography, Cartooning, Clay Modelling, Collage making, Rangoli & Mask Making, Artistic stage construction, Conceptualization & Art Direction, Creative solutions.

He has worked as a cartoon artist in vernacular newspapers. He has also taught fine arts in various institutes, colleges, and universities. Amit has also demonstrated his art in various workshops at different places.
