Atiq Ahmed's killers moved to Pratapgarh jail over security concerns

In a recent development in the Atiq Ahmed murder case, the killers of the gangster-politician have been shifted to Pratapgarh jail from Naini Central Jail in Prayagraj. Lavlesh Tiwari, Sunny Singh, and Arun Maurya, who had shot and killed Atiq Ahmed and his brother, were sent to judicial custody for 14 days by a district court on Sunday. However, on Monday, they were shifted to Pratapgarh jail due to security reasons.

According to sources, the police had received intelligence reports that the three shooters were under threat of attack behind bars in the high-security Naini jail. To ensure their safety, the authorities decided to transfer them to Pratapgarh jail. All three will be kept separately from other prisoners, and their activities will be monitored closely by the jail officials.

It is worth noting that Lavlesh Tiwari, Sunny Singh, and Arun Maurya had posed as journalists and meticulously planned the murder of Atiq Ahmed. They have confessed that they carried out the act to gain notoriety in the world of crime.
