India and Australia series remained leveled at 1-1 while the hero of the match was Ravichandran Ashwin. The Australian Captain Tim Paine could not control his temper apart from losing three catches on day five.

Paine was heard from the stump mic taunting Ashwin on the final day at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The captain then called a virtual press conference to apologise for his behavior.

Tim was quoted as saying, "I'm someone who prides themselves on the way I lead this team and yesterday was a poor reflection." He further added, "My leadership wasn't good enough, I let the pressure of the game get to me. It affected my mood and then from there affected my performance. I said to our players yesterday 'I've had a really poor game as a leader'. I let our group down."

Paine was fined 15% of the match fees over an on-field umpire's call for his conduct. ICC in a formal hearing acknowledged Paine pleading guilty and said there is no need of formal inquiry.

Now the final test is going to be played at Gabba on January 15.
