Going to and from Punjab? Avoid taking these routes for the next two days

Agitated farmers from Punjab are marching towards the National Capital Region-Delhi to stage a protest there over the contentiously passed farm laws.

Fearing the traffic blockades due to the farmers 'Delhi Chalo' movement, Punjab Police has issued a travel advisory for the people who are commuting to and from Punjab via Haryana-Delhi borders from November 25-27. 

"In view of the call for 'Delhi Chalo' March given by All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee for 26-27th November'20 and the traffic measures by Haryana Police, you may face blockades and traffic congestion on highways and roads at Punjab-Haryana border points," read the travel advisory. 

Commuters should avoid taking the following routes:

1. Khanna-Shambhu-Ambala-Delhi

2. (a) Patiala-Samana-Patran-Khanauri-Narwana-Jind

    (b) Malout-Dabwali-Hisar
