Award winning Malayalam film writer Madampu Kunjukuttan died due to covid-19

He took his last breath at a private hospital in Thrissur on Tuesday.

Madampu Kunjukuttan, who won the National Award for the 'Best Scriptwriter' for the film Karunam, died today on May 11, while undergoing treatment for COVID-19. He took his last breath at a private hospital in Thrissur on Tuesday. He was 81 years old. As per reports, after Madampu Kunjukuttan tested positive for COVID-19, he was taken to the medical clinic for treatment. He was experiencing a high fever and breathing inconvenience on Sunday night.

Talking about the past, Kunjukuttan had participated in the Assembly elections in 2001 from Kodungallur on a BJP ticket, however, he didn't win. He was brought into the world in Kiralur town of Thrissur District and has worked there as an educator for Sanskrit at Kodungalloor. He was hitched to the late Savithri Antharjanam and they gave birth to two beautiful girls, Jaseena Madampu and Haseena Madampu. After the news of his death broke out many of his fans and industry individuals are offering tribute and regard to the keep going entertainer's family on their misfortune.

One of his fan wrote, “heartfelt condolences on the passing away of illustrious author, actor and screenplay writer Shri Madampu Kunjukuttan due to covid.”

It was one of the shocking news for the Malayalam movie industry after the demise of ace scriptwriter and chief Dennis Joseph yesterday. He died due to a heart failure on Monday night.
