In a bone-chilling incident, two minor brothers named Ayush (13) and Honey (6), were mercilessly killed by a local barber named Sajid (30), at their home in the Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night. The details of the Badaun double murder case have sparked a massive social media outrage. Also, twin murders in Badaun have reportedly sparked tensions in the area. As per reports, two hours after the incident, Sajid was killed in an alleged police encounter. UP Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar was quoted saying that Sajid was shot dead when he opened fire on the police team pursuing him. Another accused is still on the run and the Police are searching for him. Notably, the victim's family has alleged that the accused also drank their children's blood.
What happened in Badaun?
As per reports, Sajid had recently opened a barber shop in the locality. On Tuesday night, he entered the house and attacked three brothers — Ayush,12, Ahaan alias Honey, 8, and Yuvraj, 10, with a knife. Ayush and Ahaan died in the attack, while Yuvraj was rushed to a hospital with serious wounds.
As per the FIR filed after a complaint by the deceased’s father Vinod Kumar, accused Sajid and his brother Javed reached the house at around 7 pm on Tuesday. Vinod Kumar in his FIR revealed, "Sajid told my wife Sangeeta that he needed Rs 5,000 which is required for the delivery of his wife. When my wife went inside to get the money, Sajid went to the roof of the house. Moments later, Javed also reached the roof and they called my two sons Ayush, 12, Ahaan alias Honey, 8 on the roof."
The FIR further states, "When my wife came out with the money, she saw Sajid and Javed coming downstairs with a knife. Seeing my wife, they said ‘I have done my work today’ and tried to escape from the spot." Notably, Vinod i.e. the father of the deceased is a private contractor and he was out of the district at the time of the crime. A separate report suggests that the family members have said that the accused even drank the blood of the victims after murdering them.
Notably, an angry mob burnt down the barber shop of Sajib after the incident came to the fore.
