April was undoubtedly a dull month in Bollywood last year. In April 2020, we lost not one, but two of our great actors – Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor – leaving a massive gap behind. The British film industry's annual BAFTA awards were presented last night at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor were honored at the ceremony.

During the 74th British Academy Film Awards on Sunday night, the In Memorium segment paid tribute to late actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor.

Fans were ecstatic to see the two honored by the academy, and they took to social media to share their feelings."So saddened to see that wonderful actor Irrfan Khan died this year. He was terrific in The Lunchbox a few years ago. Wonderful actor," wrote a fan. "My heart when seeing Irrfan and Rishi Kapoor is the Memoriam segment," wrote another.

Irrfan died on April 29th after a two-year battle with a neuroendocrine tumor. Rishi died of cancer a day later.

George Segal, Sean Connery, Yaphet Kotto, Barbara Windsor, Olivia de Havilland, Alan Parker, Max von Sydow, Kirk Douglas, Christopher Plummer, and Chadwick Boseman were among the other celebrities honored at the event.

Irrfan Khan has appeared in films such as Inferno, Jurassic Park, and Life of Pi. With his job, the actor has made a big impact in the West. Rishi Kapoor may have only appeared in Hindi films, but as an actor of his caliber, he left an indelible mark on the world and inspired actors everywhere. It's no surprise that these two outstanding performers were honored at the gala.

The great Irrfan Khan won the Filmfare trophy for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) for Angrezi Medium at the 66th Vimal Elaichi Filmfare Awards this year, as well as the Black Lady for his outstanding contribution to Hindi cinema. Babil, his son, was present to accept the award and vowed to carry on his father's legacy. Babil is set to make his acting debut in a film directed by Anushka Sharma.
