of Baghban fame and his wife Promila was recently injured after being hit by an ambulance in Mumbai. On May 12, after the couple's meeting near Xavier's College, they were walking back to their car when they were unexpectedly struck from behind by an ambulance. Promila has two fractures in her knee, according to different media sources, while Saahil has injuries to his stomach and thighs.
Saahil said, "The police have nabbed the driver". He further told, “I practise Buddhism and feel that a big undesirable and much worse incident has been averted in my life. I am under observation for the next few days no doubt, but God has been kind. Whatever happened was extremely shocking and scary.”
Saahil was taken to the Bombay Hospital after the crash, while his wife Promila is staying with her cousin. His injuries are thought to be minor, and
he is expected to be released in the next two or three days, depending on his recovery status.

Both the couple tested positive for COVID-19 in April and were put under home quarantine for 20 days in order to completely recover from the virus.
