Bajaj Autos, a leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has launched an enhanced version of its Chetak premium electric scooter, featuring both cosmetic and mechanical improvements. The new model, now priced at INR 1.44 lakhs, comes with notable enhancements, including a larger battery pack and advanced safety features. Here are some its impressive new features:
The major upgrade to Chetak Premium includes a larger 3.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, resulting in improved range. The scooter now features an 800-watt on-board charger, reducing charging time to 4 hours and 30 minutes. The upgraded Chetak Premium boasts a more substantial battery pack, offering an impressive claimed range of 127 km on a full charge. It also has an onboard charger which can be used at any conventional electrical socket.
The electric scooter also comes equipped with a slew of new convenience based quality of life features such as remote lock/unlock and auto hill-hold. Hill-hold holds the scooter stationary on inclines and slopes. It also features a single push-button reverse mode to get out tricky situations with ease.
Bajaj Auto has priced the Chetak Premium at INR 1.44 lakhs, reflecting a INR 15,000 increase compared to the previous model. The electric scooter retains its sleek design, featuring a steel body, two-tone seat, body-colored rearview mirrors, and other aesthetic elements.
Last month, Bajaj also revealed the Urban Edition, offering additional features and improvements. The Urban Edition is priced at INR 1,15,001, and INR 1,23,001 with the Tech Pack. Opting for the Tech Pack brings additional features such as riding modes, indicator blinkers, and full app connectivity, enhancing the overall user experience. The scooter now also boasts a 5-inch TFT display, offering navigation, music playback control, call management, and customizable display themes for riders.
