Who is 'real-life' Habiba Kadri?

As mentioned above, Habiba Kadri's character is based on Haseena Parkar, who was the younger sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. As shown in the series. it was Haseena who controlled organized crime or D-Company when Dawood Ibrahim had to flee to Dubai from Dongri, Mumbai (then Bombay). After Dawood fled to Dubai. Haseena informed the Mumbai police and courts that she was not in touch with her brother Dawood Ibrahim but soon took over the Mumbai business for him. She reportedly held Rs. 5000 crores of undeclared assets in her name.

Haseena became active in handling D-Company for Dawood in Mumbai after her husband Ibrahim Parkar was shot down in 1991 by Arun Gawli and his gang. The infamous JJ Hospital shootout was executed by Dawood Ibrahim to avenge the death of his dead brother-in-law. As per a Bombay media daily report, after the death of her husband, Haseena shifted to her new den, the Gordon Hall Apartments in Nagpada from where she led the crime syndicate. She liked the house so much that it was merely broken into and occupied and no one even dared to complain.

Haseena's influence on organized crime can be understood by the fact that she used to be contacted by builders to help them get “permission” from slum dwellers to redevelop their plots under SRA schemes. Parkar also negotiated overseas rights for Bollywood movies, especially films to be released in Central Russia and the Gulf countries.

While season 1 of Bambai Meri Jaan is over, season 2 might be a possibility and the makers may showcase the rise of Habiba Kadri in Bambai Meri Jaan Season 2.
