Bank Holidays in January 2023: Banking services to remain suspended for 15 days, Check the state-wise full list

The banking holidays, however, won't affect the online and net banking services which will continue to remain functional on usual days

The country’s central bank RBI has issued the roaster for Bank Holidays in the country on various accounts for the entire month of January 2023.

Based on the list shared walk In banking services will remain suspended for a total of 15 days, which includes 2nd and 4th Saturdays plus Sundays.

It is pertinent to mention that the total 15 holidays falling in the month of January are state-specific and not pan-India. The given holidays have been put under three brackets Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday along with Banks’ Closing of Accounts.

However, online and net banking will remain in function as usual on all days, customers are advised to plan their visit accordingly.

1 January 2023: Sunday.

2 January 2023: New Year’s Celebration, Banks will remain closed in Aizawl.

3 January 2023: Imoinu Iratpa, Banks will remain closed in Imphal.

4 January 2023: Gaan-Ngai, Banks will remain closed in Imphal.

17 January 2023: Uzhavar Thirunal, Banks will remain closed in Chennai.

22 January 2023: Sunday.

23 January 2023: On Netaji's Birthday, Banks will remain closed in Kolkata.

26 January 2023: Republic Day, Banks closed across the country.

28 January 2023: Fourth Saturday.

29 January 2023: Sunday.
