In an absolutely shocking incident, a girl in Barnala, Punjab was raped by her Snapchat friend on the pretext of marriage. As per the complaint filed by the victim, the man befriended her on Snapchat and promised to marry her. The girl in her complaint stated that the accused not only raped her but also made an obscene video in a hotel room. However, the man later took a U-turn and refused to marry her.
When the girl reportedly pressurized him for marriage, the man allegedly threatened her to leak the X-rated video. As per the cops, the girl is 22 years old and a resident of a village in Barnala. On her complaint, the Police have registered a case at City One police station. The girl in her complaint reportedly stated that the name of the man is Lovepreet Singh.
Lovepreet sent her a friend request on the social media platform Snapchat, which she accepted. Lovepreet Singh is a resident of Tarn Taran in Punjab. Gradually Lovepreet started chatting with her daily and won her trust.
In August this year, Lovepreet came from Tarn Taran to Barnala city to meet her and stayed in a big hotel. Lovepreet arranged a hotel to meet her. When she reached the hotel, Lovepreet took her to his room and raped her on the pretext of marriage. During this time, Lovepreet also made an obscene video of her.
The girl has reportedly recorded her statement in the Barnala court after filing the complaint. The police have got the medical done from Barnala Civil Hospital. As per the last update, a Police team was sent to nab Lovepreet in Tarn Taran.
