On the other side, the Kotphatta police station's SHO has been suspended by the SSP for failing to arrive at the scene. Police have arrested 3 farmers Sukhjit Singh, Gurmel Singh and Jeeta Singh for illegal mining.

The farmers objected when the police came to seize the Poklen machine after learning about illegal mining. Seeing the anger of the farmers, the police returned empty-handed. After this Maur Mandi MLA Sukhbir reached the spot and asked to stop the work. The farmers were against it.

MLA alleged that the farmers tried to mount a tractor on him. The MLA called the SHO of Kotphatta police station on the spot, but he did not come due to being outside. After this, the MLA reached the police station. After the complaint, the SSP suspended the SHO. Along with this, the tractor trolley was also taken into possession.

Harjinder Singh Baggi, Senior Vice President of Kisan Sangh District said that they are leveling the land. Following this, the farmers held a protest outside the police station and raised slogans against MLA. Harjinder said that no attempt was made to hit the MLA with a tractor.
