Coronavirus: 55-years-old Bengal man dies due to COVID-19,  total cases reach to 433

A 57-year-old patient succumbs at a city private hospital on Monday making him the first novel Coronavirus death reported in West Bengal, an official said. The 57-year-old man was on ventilator support at the ICCU of the AAMRI Hospital, Salt Lake, and died following a cardiac arrest on Monday afternoon.

The casualty count for India due to the novel coronavirus has risen to 9 with Gujarat and Bengal reporting its first death.

Over 30 fresh cases of novel coronavirus cases in the country took India tally to 433 on Monday afternoon with new cases from Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Bihar. India's tally also includes the death toll which rose to seven on Sunday after three more coronavirus deaths.
