Theaters and streaming platforms witnessed many big web series and movies released on their platform and an amp in their viewership. January 2024 started with a big for both theaters and OTTs. While Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone starrer movie Fighter brought back the audience in theaters in large numbers, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal continued its magic on the OTT platform. Apart from them, Sam Bahadur, Griselda, and other web series impressed fans in the world of OTTs. Now, the question arises what has February got in its bank? Well, below are the five most awaited web series or movies that will be released in February 2024- 

 

1) Bhakshak

 

The much-awaited trailer of the movie Bhakshak was released on January 31, 2024, and in no time it became the talking point among fans on social media. Made under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, Bhakshak will be available for streaming on Netflix from February 9, 2024. Directed by Pulkit, Bhakshak features actors like Bhumi Pednekar, Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, Sai Tamhankar, and more in the leading roles. Going by the Bhakshak Trailer, Bhumi Pednekar plays the character of an investigative journalist named Vaishali Singh who goes on to unearth a horrific Shelter Home Case in 'Munnawarpur' in which women including minors are being abused both mentally and physically. As per the makers, Bhakshak is inspired by real events and it is expected that the Bhumi Pednekar starrer movie is the biggest release of the month. 

 

2) Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

 

If you love to watch DC and Marvel movies, then the streaming platform will keep content in that aspect as well. Aquaman 2 or let's say Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be available for streaming on February 5, 2024, on BookMyShow App. Directed by critically acclaimed James Wan, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom features Jason Mamoa, Patric Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Randall Park, and more in the leading roles. Aquaman 2 is the last of Hollywood actress Amber Heard in the DC franchise after she lost the defamation case to her ex-husband & actor Johnny Depp. 

 

3) Aarya Season 3: Part 2

 

Undoubtedly among the most-watched Indian crime thriller, Aarya Season 3: Part 2 will be available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on February 9, 2024. Talking about Aarya's storyline, the crime thriller revolves around a widow who runs the family criminal empire, tackling enemies and protecting her children. Featuring Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani in prominent roles, 'The Marvels' is set to be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar starting February 7.

 

6) The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth

 

Netflix is all set to bring docuseries on one of the most mysterious cases of India titled- The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth. Based on the Sheena Bora murder case, ‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story’ is a true crime docu-series on Netflix that highlights the family crisis that came into the spotlight after the murder of 25-year-old Metro executive Sheena Bora in 2012. The unsolved abduction and murder case stirred conversations on national TV.
