Another incident of crime has erupted from Jalandhar where Bhalla Cycle Owner killed a roadside vendor on Thursday. Reportedly, the vendor runs a shop of "Amritsari Naan" in the Pratap Bagh here.
The deceased vendor has been identified as 60-year-old Yovinder Singh.
As per the statement of deceased son Harjot Singh, his father was arranging the food items in the shop when Bhalla Cycle owner indulged in a verbal spat with him on Thursday morning. When Yovinder Singh told him to not make a mountain of a molehill, the owner of Bhalla Cycle grew agitated and hit him with a metallic rod.
Yovinder was severely injured after the altercation and was rushed to hospital by his son where he was declared dead.
However, the police reached the incident spot and started the probe. The accused has been identified as Sunil Bhalla, who is detained by police.
