

In another blow to the Congress in Punjab, former Congress MLA from Kartarpur Surinder Chaudhary joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday. Earlier Jalandhar MLA Sushil Rinku had also joined AAP and he is AAP's candidate in Jalandhar Loksabha by-election. Surinder Chaudhary is the nephew of Chaudhary Santokh Singh.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday during an election rally in Halka Kartarpur inducted Chaudhary Surinder Singh into the Aam Aadmi Party and formally welcomed him into the AAP family.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that he (Surinder Chaudhary) and his family have been doing politics and social service since generations. Surinder Chaudhary has joined us today as a true volunteer.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party is a party of crores of people and crores of people will join this party to take our country forward. Right now AAP has its government in only two states but soon we will reach 130 crore people of our country.
While thanking Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Surinder Chaudhary said that the future of Punjab is safe only in the hands of Bhagwant Mann. He said that Bhagwant Mann and party supremo Arvind Kejriwal have fulfilled the promises made during assembly elections and that has impressed the people of Punjab.
