The AAP government has suffered a major setback in the case of vacating about 2800 acres of land near Mullanpur. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has put a stay on the matter. Fauja Singh Company held a claim to redeem around 1200 acres of land here. On which the company went to the High Court.

The counsel for the Punjab government in the High Court could not give a satisfactory answer after which the High Court has issued a notice and sought a reply from the government. The next hearing of the case will be on August 22.

In this case, Fauja Singh Company stated that the Panchayat did not sell them this land. Before them, another person owned it. From which the company took this land. This is Panchayati land, the government should first check with the owner about it.

On June 8, there was an order pertaining to the land that was issued concurrently. The company was not provided with a copy of it. The government had already taken control by the time they found out.
