The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday gave a green signal for CBI Inquiry on Sushant Singh Rajput's case. Sushant's case had become a political war between Maharashtra and Bihar. There were many steps taken by the Mumbai Police which not only enraged the entire country but also the Supreme Court of India. Justice Hrishikesh Roy said the CBI will be competent to probe not only Patna FIR but any other FIR in connection with the case.

The top court noted that the Mumbai Police has registered only an accidental death report in connection with Rajput's death, therefore it have limited investigation powers, whereas the case registered by Bihar Police is a full-fledged FIR which has been already referred to CBI.

The top ensured that there was no confusion about CBI being a sole authority to investigate the mystery behind Rajput's death and no other state police could interfere with it. The apex court order came on a plea by Rhea Chakraborty seeking transfer of FIR registered in Patna to Mumbai.

Now,  Bihar Chief Minister has responded to it. Bihar CM said, "Supreme Court verdict makes it clear that probe by Bihar Police & FIR registered here were correct. Not just  Sushant Singh Rajput's family or people of Bihar, entire country is concerned over the matter. With the CBI probe, people can trust there'll be justice."

"It was duty of Bihar Police to probe after the complaint, but they didn't get cooperation in Mumbai. Behavior meted out to our IPS officer is known to all. With SC verdict, it's clear what happened wasn't right. Any political comment in this situation isn't right," he added.

Kumar also said, "These things are not about politics, they are about justice. We are focused on providing justice. What was said, was not right. Probe will speed up now. Today it was proved that we abided by law in the steps we took."
