The month of Sawan, in the Hindu calendar, is of huge significance to devotees of Lord Shiva who go on Kanwar Yatra to Haridwar every year. But this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kanwar Yatra will not be possible.
Responding to the suspended Kanwar Yatra, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey went live. Gupteshwar Pandey is well known for his humor. He cautioned people of Bihar from the Coronavirus, as day by day cases are on surge in Bihar. Speaking in Bihari tone Pandey urged the people of Bihar to follow social distancing norms and do their worship at home rather than going to Kanwar Yatra like every year.
