
A police officer from the Saharsa district of Bihar stated that an officer in charge has been suspended on the allegation of forcing a woman to massage his body. A video of the alleged incident was uploaded on social media which went viral. Saharsa Superintendent of Police, Lipi Singh has taken cognizance of the matter, after which he suspended the alleged police officer on duty with an immediate effect.
Sinha is seen interacting with the lawyer and quoting that the woman is poor and cannot afford to many any money. He also told the lawyer that he will pay him Rs 10,000, adding that he will send the two women before him with the necessary documents for the bail of one of the women’s son.
To this chaos, Lipi Singh added, “After a video went viral on social media, we have set up an inquiry committee headed by an SDPO rank officer. Following his recommendation, we have suspended the alleged officer with immediate effect”.
On Wednesday, another incident took place where, Nawada Superintendent of Police, D.S. Savlaram suspended a Station House Officer of Mufassil police station on the alleged charge of taking bribes from truck drivers. The person is identified as Lal Bihari Paswan, an audio clip of Paswan and a truck driver went viral on social media.
