BJP announces three more Lok Sabha Poll 2024 candidates in Punjab; fields Som Prakash's wife & Ex IAS officer

The BJP on Tuesday announced candidates for three more Lok  Sabha seats for Punjab. Manjeet Singh Manna Miawind has been fielded from the Khadoor Sahib seat. Anita Som Prakash from the Hoshiarpur (reserved) seat while former bureaucrat Parampal Kaur Sindhu has been fielded from the Bathinda parliamentary seat. Punjab will go to the polls in a single phase on June 1. For the unversed, veteran leader Som Prakash is an MP from Hoshairpur and is also the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry of India. However, this time, BJP has fielded the Union Minister's wife. The Hoshiarpur reserved seat is considered a BJP stronghold and the party has won the constituency for the past two terms.

 

Before this, BJP on March 30, 2024, announced its candidates for 6 constituencies who will be fighting the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Punjab. BJP's Punjab candidates list for Lok Sabha Elections included Sushil Rinku, Hans Raj Hans, Preneet Kaur, etc.
