The controversy around Sardaar Ji 3 has taken another turn as Bharatiya Janata Party has extended its support towards Diljit Dosanjh. Recently, BJP Punjab culture cell convenor and actor Hobby Dhaliwal has extended his full support towards Dosanjh on the behalf of the political party.
While having a conversation with a media person, Dhaliwal mentioned that Diljit is a global icon and has been known for showcasing the Punjabi culture and now during the time of crisis, people have been attempting to tarnish his image with some ‘baseless allegations.’
He further mentioned that this is an unfortunate and condemnable situation to be in.
In addition to this, he clarified that shooting of the film was done before the Pahalgam incident and the shooting procedure was completed within the legal norms and involved various actors, but the focus is only on Diljit.
He furthermore took a moment to express regret towards the certain elements, who have demanded cancellation for the actor’s citizenship and a ban of the film. Actor Dhaliwal has also outlined that these demands are unjustified but politically motivated and entirely baseless.
As per the reports, Dhaliwal was quoted saying, “Diljit is the son of this soil. Punjab stands with him - and India too.” He concluded his saying by mentioning that BJP stands firmly with Diljit.
