It has been rough few days for BJP Candidate Hans Raj Hans who will be contesting the Lok Sabha Seat in Faridkot. After facing the ire of farmers in Faridkot, his roadshow in Moga today was also disrupted. As per reports, the BJP leader’s car collided with a roadways bus on Amritsar Road. This led to a ruckus as fellow roadways drivers arrived at the scene, which also resulted in a traffic jam.
The Sufi singer-turned-politician has been facing the people’s ire in Punjab since yesterday. His road show in Faridkot was protested against by farmers who held up black flags and raised slogans against the BJP for not fulfilling the farmers’ demands. The farmer’s protest was in line with Samyukta Kisan Morcha’s decision to ‘protest’ against the saffron party in the Lok Sabha elections
Hans Raj Hans will be going against actor-comedian Karmjeet Anmol, who will be representing Aam Aadmi Party. The Faridkot is a constituency is a frequent witness to LS battles between artists as the sitting MP Mohammad Sadiq is also a well-known Punjabi Singer. Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal are yet to announce their contestants from the constituency.
