BJP's Haryana Elections 2024 campaign is not going as per the plans as the party has suffered multiple dents. Now, in another blow to the BJP, its candidate from the Pehowa seat Kawaljit Singh Ajrana returned the party's ticket to fight Haryana Elections 2024. Kawaljit Singh Ajrana's decision to return the ticket came in the backdrop of his pictures that are going viral on social media in which he can be seen with Pakistani Army personnel. In the viral pics, Kawaljit Singh Ajrana can also be seen eating sweets by the hands of Pakistani Army personnel. Not only this, Kawaljit Singh Ajrana's old video is also going viral in which he was seen slamming PM Modi & former Haryana CM Khatter.

As per reports, after the photos went viral on social media, there was a ruckus in the party due to the blow to BJP's nationalist image. After this, pressure started mounting to change Kawaljit Singh Ajrana's ticket. Pressure was also mounting upon Kawaljit Singh Ajrana. Hence, Kawaljit Singh Ajrana returned the ticket.

However, Kawaljit Singh Ajrana, stated that he is facing opposition during the campaign and in the party. In such a situation, he cannot contest the elections. Therefore, he himself has refused to contest the elections. The BJP had made him a candidate for the Pehowa seat by cutting the ticket of former minister Sandeep Singh.

Kawaljit Singh has written a letter to the party president along with returning the ticket. In this, he wrote, 'I am deeply grateful for the honor given to me by giving me a ticket from Pehowa assembly seat. This is a matter of great pride for me. However, I have seen that some senior and dedicated workers, who have been working faithfully for the party for years, are opposing my nomination. I fully respect their sentiments and feel that this situation may affect the victory of the party. Therefore, considering the interest of the party paramount, I return my ticket.'
