The Lok Sabha Election fever is in full swing in Punjab. As a result of which, this Sunday is set to be awash with political activity. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is coming to hold a rally in Ludhiana tomorrow (Sunday). Whereas in Khanna, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will seek votes for BJP candidate Gejaram Valmiki in Khanna, Ludhiana.
Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is coming to rally in favor of Congress candidate and sitting MP Dr. Amar Singh. Meanwhile, former minister and senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia will hold a rally for Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Ranjit Singh Dhillon at Pakhowal Road South End Garden Resort.
A rally has been organized for BJP candidate MP Ravneet Singh Bittu at Dana Mandi near Jalandhar Bypass in Ludhiana. Officials of the district organization have also started preparations for the rally. Special arrangements will be made for fans, coolers, and water to protect people from the heat. At present, the time of the rally has not been officially fixed by the party. District officials will meet the media as soon as the time of the rally is finalized from Delhi headquarters.
The Ludhiana Lok Sabha candidates are taking full advantage of Sunday being a holiday so that more and more workers and common people can reach their rallies. However, if two major leaders arrive in Khanna on the same day, then along with the political atmosphere, it will be a big challenge for the police to maintain the security arrangements.
Rajnath Singh will reach Khanna Mandi at 11 o'clock
Defense Minister Rajnath will reach Khanna's new grain market at 11 o'clock. Till now the party has not given official information even from Khanna. Rajnath will campaign in favor of candidate Gejaram Valmiki in Fatehgarh Sahib. A meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of National Vice President Sudan Singh regarding the preparations for the rally.
Priyanka Gandhi will reach Khanna's Rahoun on Sunday afternoon. She will seek votes for Congress candidate Dr. Amar Singh. With two big rallies in one day, gathering the crowd has now become a challenge for both the parties.
