Tarun Chugh, the national general secretary of the BJP, has called for a CBI investigation into the allegations that the AAP leaders in Punjab were offered bribes to switch parties.

Chugh claimed that it was the most absurd joke that the AAP is pulling on Punjabis, for the simple reason that they want to divert attention away from the egregious corruption that the AAP administration has engaged in with regard to Punjab's liquor policy.

Chugh stated that AAP is using mockery and mimicry as a political tool to distract people from the important problems that pose a serious threat to Punjab. The AAP government is fabricating cock and bull stories to distract people from its failure to confront issues like illicit mining, which has turned into an anti-national activity, and the liquor mafia.

According to Chugh, the AAP government is engaging in unethical and cheap politics by complaining to the DGP based on fake calls, which will ultimately prove to be harmful to Punjab.

He said that the AAP in Delhi used a similar talking point that finally turned out to be a deception when they claimed that the BJP was attempting to overthrow the AAP government there.
