The BJP MLA was quoted by a news portal and said, "A call came, I picked it up and the video started playing. I immediately then closed the video's window." BJP Tripura state President Rajib Bhattacharya told news agency IANS that the party would soon issue a notice to the concerned MLA and would seek clarification.

Notably, a few days back, an adult video was aired on all 10 platforms for approx 3 minutes on Sunday at Patna Junction.The Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials took note of the incident and immediately stopped the telecast of the adult video after some passengers reported the matter to the Patna Railway Station officials. The TV monitor at Patna Junction were installed by a private company. The company has been given the contract to telecast videos and ad films on the railway stations under the Danapur Division. Confirming the incident, Prabhat Kumar, the official spokesperson of the DRM office in Danapur, said, "We have initiated an inquiry into the incident and started the process of cancellation of the contract. We have registered an FIR against the company officials... It is an intolerable incident. We will blacklist this company." Patna Junction is one of the busiest railway stations of India and the adult video indeed sent passengers waiting for their train in an uncomfort zone. The incident triggered a commotion at the railway station and several passengers reported the matter to the RPF and railway station officials.
