The MP has also allegedly accused opposition for ongoing protest at Shaheen Bagh, which has almost jumped into its third month.

While speaking to an eminent news agency, MP Arjun said, "Jaise Muslim logon ko vipaksh ke logon ne protection de karke Shaheen Bagh mein baithaya hai, Jamia mein ghatna ghati, jiska CAA se matlab nahi. Humare kum umar ke bachhe bharamit ho karke goli chalaye hain. (The Opposition is protecting Muslims at Shaheen Bagh and have made them sit there (in protest). The firing incident in Jamia had nothing to do with the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Some of our juvenile youths were misguided and opened fire."

There have been four incidents in past one week, where armed gunmen were seen swaying their guns in Shaheen Bagh and Jamia Nagar. However, in three of the incidents firing actually took place and a student of Jamia was injured after a bullet hit his palm in.

Delhi Cops have arrested two people on charges of open firing and voicing Anti-Muslim slogans while sawying their guns in the air. One of them is reported to be a juvenile.

On Sunday night, unidentified goons were seen riding a red coloured scooter, firing outside the Jamia University who then escaped from the spot. No such fatality has come in knowledge so far. However, in this case police is yet to investigate and make arrests.
