Senior AIADMK leader and former Tamil Nadu minister, D. Jayakumar has said that his party currently does not have any alliance with the BJP, adding that the party would decide on the tie-up later.

Speaking to the mediapersons here, the AIADMK leader criticised the Tamil Nadu unit BJP president K. Annamalai for his remarks on C.N. Annadurai, the first Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

"BJP is not in alliance with the AIADMK and we will decide about the alliance later ," he said, underlining this was not his personal view but of the party.

The former minister said that while the BJP cadres wanted an alliance with the AIADMK, the state president does not want so.

Jayakumar also said that Annamalai has been frequently criticising the AIADMK leaders.

The former minister said Annamali was unfit to be the state president of the BJP in Tamil Nadu.

It may be noted that two other senior leaders of the AIADMK and former ministers, Sullur K. Raja and CVe Shanmugam also came out strongly against Annamalai.

Sullur K. Raja said that Annamalai had disrespected C.N. Annadurai in a public programme and that there were people in Tamil Nadu who were ready to cut the tongue of those who had disrespected the Dravidian icon.

He also said that in Tamil culture, people do not say bad things of a person after his death and even AIADMK leaders and cadres have not been speaking any ill of K Karunanidhi after his demise.

CVe Shanmugham also lashed out at Annamalai, saying the BJP president does not have any competence to speak about "Perarignar Anna". He said that it was Perarignar Anna (C.N. Annadurai) who was responsible for the present growth of Tamil Nadu
