Amidst the neck to neck fight between the NDA and Mahagathbandhan, BJP's Sanjay Saraogi won the election on the Darbhanga Urban Assembly seat. He has defeated RJD candidate Amarnath Gami.
From the Darbhanga Urban Assembly seat, 19 candidates participated in the Bihar Elections. There was neck to neck fight in Sanjay Saraogi of BJP from NDA and Amarnath Gami of RJD from Mahagathbandhan.
With every passing minute, JDU and BJP supporters are making claims of being confident of forming a new government in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

Sanjay Singh, spokesperson of the JDU said: "We are a disciplined party that works well under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He has taken Bihar on the path of progress. We knew that the results will come in our favor and the trend so far has been according to our expectations."
