Vigilance Bureau, Punjab has become proactive in activities related to the crackdown on corruption. Based on various evidence and facts, the Vigilance Bureau has initiated an inquiry while many others have been arrested for being involved in any kind of corruption. Now, BJP’s Gurpreet Kangar who is General Secretary Punjab has come under the scanner of the Vigilance Bureau.
As per the information received from sources, Vigilance has initiated an inquiry against Gurpreet Kangar in the disproportionate assets case. Vigilance Bureau received information that Gurpreet Kangar’s income and amount of assets do not match due to which the investigation has been initiated. Sources have also revealed that till now, all the evidence received are against Gurpreet Kanger which can lead to his arrest.
Talking about Gurpreet Kangar, he was a member of Congress and was also a minister in Second Amarinder Singh ministry. He then joined Bhartiya Janta Party on 4 June 2022 along with Raj Kumar Verka, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Sundar Sham Arora, and others at the party office in Chandigarh.
Recently, Vigilance Bureau arrested RTA Dhaliwal and booked 10 officers along with IAS Neelima in graft case.
