The first trailer of the sequel titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released at the Comic-con 2022. In the trailer launched earlier in the day Boseman's King T'Challa receives a moving tribute as the promo begins with a sombre rendition of ‘No Woman No Cry’ as Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) mourn for their fallen king.

The promo teases ahead the revelation of the next Black Panther, although the person’s face didn’t surface, leaving the fans in suspense about whether it’s Shuri or someone else. After the untimely demise of actor Chadwick Boseman, who played king T’Challa in the much acclaimed and applauded film Black Panther, people were worried about Boseman’s legacy and how will it be carried forward ahead.

The trailer also introduces two new characters as we get a glimpse of Dominique Thorne as Williams aka Ironheart aka Riri Williams as well as Tenoch Huerta as Namor. All it seems from the trailer is that Namor will be up against the new Black Panther as the footage showcases Atlantaen warriors engaging the Dora Milaje in the combat that is all ahead.

At the trailer launch event, film’s director Ryan Coogler got emotional while talking about late actor and star Chadwick Boseman and said, “Chad is no longer with us physically, but his spirit, his passion, his genius, his pride, his culture, and the impact that he made on this industry will be felt forever. We put our love for Chadwick into this film."

The trailer is too much loved by fans all around, people are posting emotional comments in response to the tribute to Boseman, given through the trailer. By the time the news was written the trailer had over 7 crores of views on YouTube.  'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' is all set to hit the theatres on November 11, 2022.
