As per reports, Congress is all set to field a Bollywood actor who will be taking on former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. If reports are true then the Congress High Command has agreed to field the Bollywood actor who is famous for his role in the movie 'Munna Bhai MBBS'. Yes! you got it right. The Bollywood actor is none other than Sanjay Dutt.
As per reports, Congress will field Sanjay Dutt from Karnal, Haryana from where Khattar is contesting the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 for the BJP. In the meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Congress, in the presence of Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and KC Venugopal, Sanjay Dutt's name was discussed on the Karnal seat, but the final decision will be taken only after discussion with the state level leaders of the party.
For the unversed, Sanjay Dutt's father Sunil Dutt was a minister in the government of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, while his sister Priya Dutt has been an MP.
Reports suggest that some big leaders of the Haryana Congress party are also in favor of this decision of the Congress high command. They are in favor of making late Sunil Dutt's son Sanjay Dutt the candidate from the Karnal seat.
