In a horrific development, a knifeman went on a stabbing spree killing at least 5 shopkeepers in a Sydney Mall on Saturday. A total 6 deaths have been reported in the Bondi Mall attack incident. The knifeman stabbed at least five shoppers including a mum and her nine-month-old baby. The New South Wales Police reportedly shot the knifeman dead inside the Bondi Mall in Sydney. Another eight people have been injured, one of whom is in critical condition.
As per Australia media reports, armed cops rushed to the scene and evacuated terrified witnesses from Westfield Bondi Junction shopping centre. Now, there are multiple videos and photos of Sydney Mall attack have been going viral on social media. In one of the Bondi Mall attack videos, multiple dead bodies can be seen lying unconscious on the floors. One more Sydney mall attack video showcase crowds fleeing the busy mall.
The Australian authorities are yet to identify the knifeman who carried out the attack. It means the modus operandi behind Sydney Mall Attack is also yet to be revealed.
As per the Australian Police, "She (woman cop) confronted the offender who had moved by this stage to level five as she continued to walk quickly behind him to catch up with him. He turned to face her and raised a knife. She discharged a firearm and that person is now deceased." The Police officer added, "I'm advised that there are five victims who are now deceased as a result of the actions of this offender," police added.
