Breaking- Amritsar Ranjit Avenue Bomb row: Punjab Police arrest person involved in IED planting

The person arrested has now been handed over to the Punjab Police, says Maharashtra ATS.

In a joint operation of Maharashtra ATS and Punjab Police, an accused has been arrested who was involved in the case related to the planting of IED. The person has been arrested from Shirdi and is identified as Rajinder.

The person arrested has now been handed over to the Punjab Police, says Maharashtra ATS.

This development comes after the ADGP has promised everyone that an investigation has been started in the regard and culprits will soon be put behind the bars.

An attempt was made by unknown youths to plant a bomb in the car of the sub-inspector on 16th August 2022 in Block C of Ranjit Avenue.

The bomb planted in the car contained 2kg of RDX which could have caused a huge explosion if the information has not come to them before time.

Sub-Inspector Dilbag Singh said that the bomb found a few days earlier from Tarn Taran is similar to the one that was planted under his car. According to Dilbagh Singh, the bomb may have fallen to the ground because the two suspects did not correctly put it under the car.
