Breaking the previous 5 years' records, summers have just begun!

In a single day, there was a jump of two degrees in the temperature of many cities

Amritsar district of Punjab is experiencing a continuous rise in the temperature. There was some relief from the little drizzle in the past, but after that, the temperature rapidly increased which is unbearable. Every day temperature is increasing and in a single day, there was a jump of two degrees in the temperature of the city. Due to this, heat has broken the records of the last 5 years. 

On Wednesday, the Meteorological Department stated that the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 41.5 which was 4 degrees above the normal. The next day, on Thursday, the temperature crossed 42 degrees. The Meteorological Department has also issued an advisory regarding the heat and they have advised to step out in the evening only if necessary. 

2017, the temperature crossed 43 degrees:

Analyzing the data received from the Meteorological Department, in 2017 the temperature of the city had reached 43.6 degrees. Some other previous records were also mentioned like in the year 1979, the highest temperature was recorded in April which was 41.1 degrees. If the temperature remains the same in the upcoming days then it can break all the records of previous years. 

Below are the records of a few cities:

Amritsar: On Wednesday, the highest temperature which was recorded was 41.5 degrees. The next day, the temperature touched the maximum point of 42 degrees and further also there will be the scorching sun. 

Ludhiana: On Wednesday, the temperature was about 41.4 degrees and reportedly on Thursday it will cross 42 degrees. The whole day is expected to be sunny. 

Patiala: On Wednesday, the highest temperature was 42 degrees. On Thursday, it will go beyond 42 degrees, calculating the whole day to be sunny.

Jalandhar: On Wednesday, the city recorded the highest temperature of 41.2 degrees and on the very next day it is expected to be 42 degrees. The city will witness heat and a sunny day.
