Budget-2021 Nirmala-Sitharaman Finance-Minister

Paperless is the keyword to describe the Budget 2021. According to reports, the Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman will read the budget from a 'Made in India' tablet.

Sitharaman has been seen carrying a tablet in red sleeve. She has also replaced the briefcase into a "Bahi Khata", red colored cloth ledger is a symbol of budget since her maiden speech in 2019.

Sitharaman had said to shed "British hangover." The paperless budget can be seen as a push for 'Digital India' program and due to Covid-19 pandemic, the budget seems to be paperless through and through.

"Union Budget Mobile App" has also been launched by the finance minister so that the Member of Parliament can access the budget seamlessly.

Budget 2021 will be under the critical lens of experts and common people both due to the situation intensified by Covid-19, job loss and rising fuel and gas prices.
