“We cannot be polarized”: Punjab CM Mann takes a swipe at BJP & Congress during Jalandhar Roadshow

The Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also targeted ex-MP Sushil Rinku, commenting on his move to BJP from AAP

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took out a roadshow for his election campaign in Jalandhar. The roadshow started at the Love Kush Chowk and ended at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. He was accompanied by ex-MLA Pawan Kumar Tinu. During the Roadshow, CM Mann took several swipes at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) & Congress.

 

Taking a swipe at the opposition, the CM said that “Punjab had a major role to play during the freedom movement… the people of Punjab are united and cannot be divided.” He further that no success will be found in their attempt to polarize the people of Punjab. The Punjabis are a brotherhood, and you cannot put separations into a brotherhood. He said that valiant Punjabi youth are still making strides fighting for freedom.

 

The CM also attacked Rinku saying that, “Aam Aadmi Party made him a MP, when he got what he wanted he left.” Sushil Kumar Rinku had recently left AAP to join BJP, a move which was met with severe public outcry. He along with fellow turncoat were labelled ‘Gaddars’ (traitors) in several demonstrations held be AAP workers.

 

The CM’s roadshow started at the Love Kush Chowk and ended at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. He was accompanied by Pawan Kumar Tinu, who most recently defected from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
